Clean Mac space with OmniDiskSweeper
My Macbook Air has a very small SSD harddisk and it’s often full. Basically, I did searched for a large file and delete it. But, for a short time, my harddisk is full again. After some researches, I found a good solution. Here is what I did:
Download OmniDiskSweeper https://www.omnigroup.com/more and install it (by dragging app to Applications folder, but don’t open it yet!!).
Go to Applications folder and right click on OmniDiskSweeper and then select Show Package Contents
Open Terminal, type sudo and drag OmniDiskSweeper (under MacOS) for execution path (Enter, and input Password if requires).
Select the drive to sweep, and you will see GUI:
Now you can delete large files, but be careful of some necessary file system.
I found that Photos Library consume lots of space, so I gain a lot of diskapace by deleting Photos Library.photoslabrary and choose to Optimize Mac Storage in iPhoto preference.
This way I don’t have no more disk-space issues ^_^
